I am Connor McNeill, a third-year mechanical engineering student at the University of Alberta. Currently, I work full-time at AlbertaSat, where I contribute to satellite design and construction. My primary focus lies in the development of the Iris Payload. I also lead the SpiderSat team, conducting research on capturing space debris using a gecko adhesive net in microgravity. I serve as the Projects Chair of SEDS Canada, overseeing four impactful projects, including CAN-RGX, CAN-SBX, YSpacE, and CAN-ARX, each contributing to the advancement of space exploration and education. Alongside these endeavors, I collaborate with Launch Canada to design a turbopump for a liquid rocket engine. As the Vice President External of the Mechanical Engineering Club and a member of the University of Alberta's Rocketry Design Club, I actively contribute to fostering a strong community and drive innovation in the field. With a passion for space engineering and an unwavering dedication to making a difference, I am committed to pushing the boundaries of knowledge and leading the way in the aerospace industry.
