CS3410 – Computer Systems and Organization Programming

TA for CS2800 - discrete structures. Enrollment of approximately 400 students. Responsibilities include leading 2 small-group discussion sections with approximately 25 students each, holding office hours, creating grading rubrics and managing grading sessions, grading homework and exams, and answering questions posted to the class online discussion forum.

Awarded Hatfield Fellowship to fund my research in Macroeconomic Information Theory

Cascade is a platform for maximizing AI performance built on several proprietary technologies. I've done work on all levels of the stack from CascadeChain which is a modified Cascade system in development for managing CBDC transactions down to DCCL which is our take on Nvidia's distributed systems library using Cascade's predecessor Derecho. As a member of the lab, I've:– Engaged with many esoteric academic papers covering computer architecture, blockchain, distributed machine learning, and so on.– Worked directly on the model by refactoring C++ code to run more space efficiently.–Configured and worked extensively within several Linux containers to run various relevant programs.–Analyzed DCCL vs. NCCL performance using a benchmark library to compare processing time and formalized results as graphs.

Software development on the Ruminant Farm Systems (RuFaS) model: A Next-Generation, Whole-farm, Dairy Systems Model to Support Sustainable Productivity and Environmental Health. RuFaS is a predictive system model for dairy farms that relies on data, animal, computer, and life sciences.-Working alongside a nation-wide team of programmers, animal scientists, and modelers to continue development of the model using Python.-Continued experience using Git as well as Github repositories, simultaneously working alongside a team of software developers to forward progress on the model while maintaining version control.- Utilizing knowledge of Python Classes to maintain the project infrastructure's makeup and architecture through continued development.-Experience with pseudocode development, maintaining pseudocode documents clear, concise, and consistent.
