With an academic background in three disciplines, a wide array of professional experience, and experience working in dynamic, multilingual, and cross-cultural contexts, I am well-equipped to help tackle the major challenges facing our world. To do so, I bring excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, a high-quality, detail-oriented, and efficient work ethic, and an innovative approach to solving problems both individually and as a team player. In 2018, I graduated with degrees in International Studies, Political Science, and Economics, and with minors in Environmental Studies and International Development from Macalester College, an academically rigorous liberal arts college known for its commitments to internationalism, multiculturalism, and civic engagement. In 2023, I graduated from a two-year Masters program in Global & Area Studies at Oxford University, with distinction (first). There, I undertook interdisciplinary coursework on Contemporary China, Taiwan, and East Asia, and wrote a 30,000-word thesis entitled "Dreaming Beyond the Nation: Imagining the Future and Negotiating National Identity in Queer China and Taiwan."

Course Instructor
In August, I will teach a university-level summer course on the history, politics, and current affairs of the United Kingdom, as part of an academic summer programme administered by the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). I am responsible for developing a curriculum, reading list, assignments, and evaluation criteria in conjunction with the English faculty at CUHK. I am also responsible for delivering daily one-hour lessons over the two week course, including preparing a lecture for each day, facilitating group discussions, and offering academic skills training. I will also evaluate student assignments, offer mentorship and advice, and coordinate two group excursions around Oxford.
