• Serves as chief communication officer and chief experience officer for Department of Veterans Affairs' Southern Nevada Healthcare System. Provides executive-level oversight of all communication and customer experience-related activities in support of a 150-bed VA medical center, six community VA clinics, a community resource and referral center, a Veterans recovery center; and 3,000-plus person organization that delivers a wide variety of inpatient and outpatient care and support services to more than 71,400 unique Veterans annually. • Leads a 40-plus-person team, providing executive-level supervision, management and oversight of numerous programs and activities including public affairs, visual information and printing, audiovisual production, Congressional and Department of Defense liaison, government affairs, community outreach, employee engagement, web & business applications, communication technology, Veterans experience, patient advocacy, voluntary service and the Las Vegas Fisher House. • Participates in day-to-day management of the healthcare system as a member of the executive leadership team. Directly involved in senior-level discussions, decisions, policymaking and establishment of management objectives, operational priorities, and strategic direction; and provides input, advice and counsel in direct support of health care system planning, programming, budgeting and administration.
