New indie record label founded by entrepreneur/Crocs founder George Boedecker and music industry veteran Burt Stein.

I work as an independent artist manager for Gold Mountain Entertainment (a company founded by Burt Stein and Ron Stone in Los Angeles). I am currently working with Todd Snider, The Band of Heathens, The High Hawks, Chicago Farmer, Reed Foehl and Great American Taxi.

Wear most of the hats - management, tour management, marketing, playing in the band, development, record label for the band, etc.

I have been the executive producer on 3 full length LPs and 1 EP for Great American Taxi. This has involved obtaining the budget, creating the budget, assembling the team and overseeing the entire production from recording the first track to manufacturing the CDs to helping develop the art content to helping execute the promotional campaign. The most recent release for Great American Taxi was album called 'Paradise Lost' which was recorded in Nashville, TN with Todd Snider producing. The album made it all the way to #4 on the national Americana radio chart. Great American Taxi's second full length LP "Reckless Habits" reached #12 on the Americana Radio Chart and reached #1 on Colorado radio. It remained in the top 25 of the Americana chart for over two months and stayed in the top 10 on Colorado radio for over a year.

I was the executive director since the inception of this 501(c)(3) charity organization. I volunteered all my time running the foundation, creating the events to raise money, producing the events, performing in the events and researching beneficiaries for proceeds to be distributed to. The foundation has raised tens of thousands of dollars over the years for other local and national charities who are implementing social programs for the disadvantaged with a focus on children's music programs that may not have had the opportunity or resources to take music lessons or learn an instrument. The mission statement for the foundation :Mark Vann’s spirit parted company with his body on March 4, 2002. Mark consistently lived by the motto of “Go Big!”. He applied this motto to both playing music and his unending willingness to offer his time and knowledge to teach anybody who wanted to learn. He encouraged others to “Dream Big”, “Go Big”, and “Pick Big”, and personally supported their efforts to do so. The sun rose on March 5th to the task of shining light into a newly empty space in our many worlds.The Mark Vann Foundation was created to continue the spirit of joy, gratitude, and generosity that Mark brought to our collective communities through his life and music.Our primary mission is to serve community based non-profit organizations bringing light, love and laughter into the lives of those in need through nature, music and the arts; and to provide a conduit for kindhearted people with similar values to nurture impactful positive change within their own communities.The Mark Vann Foundation is supported entirely by volunteer efforts and has no paid employees. It is managed in such a way as to maximize our ability to support beneficiaries by keeping operating costs to a minimum. I was a co-owner/partner in this business for two years. This business started as an after concert instant CD of the concert you just saw. I helped develop the brand, did sales, marketing, on site production management and more for the company. At the end of 2007 I sold my stake back to my partner as I became too busy with touring bands and other responsibilites. This business then became the Cool Music Network and they are broadcasting their content all over the country through major cable companies.
