Strategy: Contributes extensively to the development of the Bluecoat’s long-term strategy 2012 – 2020, identifying key gaps and opportunities facing the organisation, and supporting and mentoring staff in creating imaginative approaches to make the organisation ‘fit for the future’.Effective monitoring: With others, involvement in reviewing and reflecting on Key Performance Indicators, ensuring they are fit for purpose and at the same time making the collection and analysis of information manageable and appropriateVolunteeringAt the request of staff and Board, undertook an in-depth review of the volunteering system at the Bluecoat, a piece of work which laid the foundations for a renewed and reinvigorated approach that has recently secured a cohort of about 100 volunteers. Human Relations Supported the senior team, and particularly the Chief Executive, through a major change programme, mentoring on board communication, championing good governance and ethical standards and contributing practically through drafting a Code of Conduct [based on “Conduct Becoming”] for staff, volunteers and Board Members at the Bluecoat.Presently also on a working group revising and updating the Staff Handbook and ensuring co-ordination with the art centre’s policies.“Bluecoat 300” Centrally involved in planning strands of “Bluecoat 300”, a major commemorative year for the organisation, which celebrates 300 years of its landmark building in 2017. This programme reaches across all elements of the Bluecoat’s activities, including the arts programme, history and heritage (one element of which - the building’s connection with slavery, I have championed).

Development Committee Chair – 2006 to 2010.

Member of the association’s Senior Management Team. Responsible for procuring new business - working with developers, the City Council, Primary Care Trusts, etc., to enable physical regeneration in Fazakerley, Croxteth and Norris Green.Leading the association’s activities in community regeneration and engagement.

Business development & procurement - working on innovative projects in Fulham and Hackney. Redevelopment of sites at Nile Street and on the Pembury Estate in Hackney. Redevelopment of existing Peabody estates at Pimilico and Fulham. Working with the City of Westminster, local residents and a major developer on the redevelopment of Paddington Waterside.
