It is undeniable that the Information Age has ushered in a level of interconnectedness and convenience like none ever before in human history. But with advancements in technology come increasing risks to which no one—individuals, businesses, or governments—is immune. Throughout my career in the United States Navy, I have worked tirelessly to identify and mitigate threats to the security of the United States through the practical use of technology solutions.I currently serve as Cyber Threat Intelligence Division Chief with the Navy Cyber Defense Operations Command. In this critical role, I provide analysis and assessments of potential cybersecurity threats and ensure the integrity and security of Navy networks. I also develop intelligence briefs on potential issues so that they may be remediated before becoming full-blown security risks. Some additional highlights of my career include the following:• Spearheading the effort to stand up the intelligence division, supporting the proactive operation with the ability to monitor and measure data for fleet decision-making. • Identifying deficiencies and improving processes to increase output by 50%+ for the National Security Agency (NSA). • Discovering and blocking 40+ malicious IP addresses and domains; creating 75 incident reports as part of securing the Navy network enclave during named operation.
