For nearly 15 years I have been working in the Information Technology (IT) field. I have worked with the lowest ranking individual to Generals and CEOs. I have a deep passion for cybersecurity, as, in reality, IT would not exist without it, nor our modern world. Prior to the internet age we wholly focused on physical security to keep our businesses secure. Digitalization enabled businesses to grow and reach new customers as they have never before. Unfortunately, unlike tangible physical security, intangible cybersecurity is an afterthought and mainly a reactive purchase due to a, now tangible, threat to the business. Proactive cybersecurity is detrimental to ensuring businesses are able to prepare, defend, and respond in a timely manner when, not if, being targeted or a user gets careless. Whether working for the US Army, the US Air Force, or CDW, I have fully understood there is a very large knowledge gap regarding cybersecurity. Ultimately, cybersecurity is mitigating inevitable risk. For businesses to thrive, they must comprehend their digital risks and apply the correct solutions to ensure those risks are secured with the allotted budget. Cybersecurity return on investment (ROI) is seldom discussed but is a large factor for the business. With that, I take great pride in providing cybersecurity leadership in all facets of the network and business.My tenure in the cybersecurity field has allowed me to work very closely with nearly all cybersecurity vendors, cybersecurity categories, and cybersecurity services.
