As a software consultant, I initially joined the OresundPay project to write it in Angular withPhrase, NodeJS, MySQL and Firebase, however I quickly found myself taking on additionalresponsibilities across various core systems, including maintenance of legacy Linux servers,CGI and PHP scripts, bespoke weather and traffic integration systems amongst others.My presence remained their only constant despite organisational changes, amassinginvaluableknowledge and becoming the go-to resource for system insights. Finally transitioning into therole of technical lead as the client decided on migrating everything to the Cloud. I wrote thewrappers and libraries for payment gateways, CRM systems and CMS systems.I focused on fostering good collaboration and driving development efforts while maintaining ahumble approach to problem-solving. My goal has always been to understand the underlyingreasons behind decisions and present solutions with clarity and empathy. Over the course of4.5 years, I had the privilege of working on multiple projects with diverse teams, eachpresenting its own set of challenges and opportunities for growth.

I was the sole creator of a platform originally titled as Kidspeak, which has been used at the LeetSpeak developer conference (2016 and 2017), as well as it's own event in Lund.For this I designed and created everything, the idea, the name, the software, the electronics, the 3D printed cases, the code libraries used to communicate with the hardware and everything in between.After a year of development, I decided to change the underlying platform's name to Code-Blocks, whilst keeping the product "Kidspeak" as a layer upon that. The reason for this is that I wanted to able to expand this software to do much more in the future and having the ability to use custom branding for other events.Code-Blocks cannot be used without my explicit permission but please contact me if you are interested in using it at your event.

As a Consultant at tretton37 my skills were sold to a number of different clients, looking toachieve a certain goal with quality in mind.My work consisted of a number of projects involving NancyFX, EPiServer, Microsoft Dynamics,PayEx integration along with some internal IoT projects that required me to design and 3D printprototypes for a new product.During 2015 I was part of the speaker committee for Leetspeak 2015.April 2016, I was made responsible for all technical interviews within the company whichrequired keeping the technical interview questions and tests up to date, training othermembers of the company to perform technical interviews along with all other aspects ofmaking sure this process was streamlined and efficient.October 2016, I created Kidspeak, a side track used at the Leetspeak conference (and otherevents) which allowed kids to get interested in programming, electronics and technology at anearly age.January 2017 was when I began implementing GraphQL as a middleware to simplify andimprove communication from client applications and web services, by the April I began writingthe new web applications in React with Redux.

Quill are a software house established in the 1970s, primarily developing software for legalcashiers, and offering related services.I helped to develop their new systems which made use of RabbitMQ and MongoDB, as well asdesigning the client side interfaces to these systems.I also assisted with the development of their new Document Management system, whichmakes use of Responsive Design.

Mosaic Online Systems are an industry leader within the UK for the British Postal system, offering integration services for every aspect of the mailing industry. These services are offered to both Posting Houses and Postal Carriers alike. Offering solutions such as automated daily forecasts for submitting mail into Royal Mail, bag/tray/cage label printing, 1D/2D Barcode reader integration and software solutions, reports, dynamic dashboards and numerous management screens.  The role required that I both maintained older systems, as well as developing new ones which would often target a specific customer’s needs, but also remaining generic enough for other customers to make use of.

Alltern8 was a new start up publishing company, attempting to target eight different area of interest, ranging from role playing, to computer gaming. They attempted to create a single source of information for all of these areas, to both bring people with similar interests together into a single community, as well as provide a single source for all this information.

William Reed is a publishing firm for the food and drink industry, and owner for a number of different brands, including The Morning Advertiser, The Grocer, Meat Info, Internal Wines and Spirits Challenge, Big Hospitality, Food Manufacture Jobs, Off Licence News and many others. They have a range of websites supporting their magazines, encompassing functionality such as jobs, content driven, events, directories, data and reports, forums and a few other web services.  The role includes support for all the websites, liaising directly and sometimes indirectly with representatives responsible for the websites, as well as the company’s SEO specialist. I was also to develop new functionality, including widgets for data and statistical analysis, as well as developed a new and improved subscription service application. Saved the company a large sum of money by migrating and consolidating websites, databases and other services onto our dedicated servers, as well as created structured documentation to help understand where each website was located, and who was responsible for it, as well as  detailing their responsibilities.

World market leaders in the documentation solutions providing a service allocation graphical representation of data, guiding clients throughout the full project lifecycle incorporating training and support where required.  Automated processes are created to analyse and manipulate data from a variety of different sources (including XML, CSV, Oracle,  Work Documents, Spreadsheets and PDF Documents).  In some cases additional applications are created to extract the data from other applications such as SAP. Once obtained the data is then presented within this application in a hierarchical diagram format. Each application is customised to provide a  unique solution to meet the requirements of the client.   This was a highly technical role that also involved close work with the client data, creating tailored solutions on very tight deadlines. I discovered and developed multiple ways to automate and improve the product supplementing the functionality,  allowing my co­workers to significantly increase their productivity.    Starting off as the sole developer, I had to work hard to liaise directly with clients, develop solutions, and manage my own time effectively and efficiently, while meeting tight deadlines. As the company grew, I trained staff in usage of the company’s products and solutions, and directed my skill set more towards automation, and improvement of the company’s core systems. Towards the end of my career at the company, I had developed a graphics engine which was appreciably more powerful than their existing engine, and had begun financial negotiations for the purchase of this application. After having left the company I have not had further correspondence and have considered making the application open source, describing it’s development in a book I am  currently writing.

I taught a number of different classes whilst teaching at this institute. The one which took up the majority of my time each day would be teaching IT skills to the elderly. My other regular classes included teaching software programming.The Pascal and Visual Basic 5 classes had a set syllabus that I followed and I mostly had to be creative with people that were struggling to understand programming in general.The Macromedia Flash (now Adobe Flash) classes I had free reign over and in a day taught my students how to make a basic computer game which got them very interested in software development after seeing how easy it was to make something they all had interest in.
