I have been working on healthcare claims and billing systems for nearly 20 years. In the healthcare space I have worked on the payer and provider side of the fence and both the care and delivery side of the fence with the VA.I have extensive experience with the .NET platform but have used countless languages and platforms over the years. I am particularly fond of F# and LISP (generally as it applies to Emacs, but would love to do something more technical and production facing). I have an immense amount of SQL experience, enough I would have no problem in a role as DBA and have had that role in numerous organizations (more or less defacto).Full-stack to the core: I have worn the hat of Team Lead, Architect, DBA, Systems Admin, Scrum Master, you name it. Although fully capable of doing front-end UI work, my talents are better utilized on the back-end and using my leadership skills to mentor junior staff through development pitfalls and fallacies that easily derail projects early in their careers.Particularly strong at problems concerning scalability and distributed systems. If you have under a million users and are constantly having database issues then there is some very low hanging fruit to pick and you do not need to throw more money at your physical resources.I have also led the migration from 100% on-premise to 100% cloud.An aspiring Geoscientist, I would relish the opportunity to work on geoscience related problems including but not limited to seismic tomography or data analysis using Analysis Services. I have considerable experience building multidimensional analysis cubes for elucidating meaningful insights from data.
