Andy Walker is an Internet entrepreneur who focuses currently on growing his ecommerce companies which primarily do business in the U.S. and Canada. Andy recently returned to Toronto Canada after finishing a year of business development in Malaysia. He conducts all his brands from a laptop, and manages a creative and development team across the globe.Walker has a background as a media executive and consultant with a track record of creating & managing (and selling) specialty Internet media properties.Andy is the former GM of Tucows.com and has held strategic positions at Canada.com & MSN. As a consultant he helped many business bootstrap their media properties and web strategies. He also led the build of the video unit at the Canadian Press Wire Services. He is a technology pundit for CTV News Channel in Toronto. With gas guru Dan McTeague, he also built TomorrowsGasPriceToday.com, which was sold to GasBuddy.com in 2014. Walker is the author of five books. His 5th book, called "Super You: How technology is revolutionizing what it means to be human", was published by Pearson Education (Que) in 2016.Andy created the charity The Little Geeks Foundation, has sat on several non-profit boards and was an advisor to the Lt. Gov. of Ontario on technology literacy. He sat on the technology council for Kids Help Phone and was a digital marketing advisor to the University of South Florida. In Feb 2013, he received the Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee Medal for "accomplishments as a science and technology journalist...leadership in news media digitization, and [his] efforts to provide computers to underprivileged children."
