Responsibilities- Develop coding patterns and guidelines that help ensure our codebase is maintainable and scalable.- Work as a full-stack engineer using React, Styled Components, React Apollo for web frontend and implementing the appropriate backend APIs using Python, Graphene, and PynamoDb.- Discover and integrate with tools such as Sentry, which improves our team’s ability to more quickly identify and fix issues that arise in production.- Writing tests in Python Selenium for our frontend as well as writing tests for our python backend.- Build the frontend from a boilerplate theme to a product in production hosted on CloudFront and S3Accomplishments- Built a frontend authentication library that wraps our internal and Google login, which handles storing and refreshing JWT tokens automatically and guarantees all API calls have a valid token while logged in- Implemented error logging with Sentry.io and added context to the sentry events to make reproducing and understanding the cause of the issue much easier for myself and my team.- Expanded our payment gateway abstraction in our Python backend to include a new payment processor- Built a framework of reusable functions built on top of Selenium to make maintaining and expanding our end-to-end tests easier

My responsibilities include testing software, finding bugs and writing them up with relevant helpful information. When new builds were released to us, I would run the basic test cases to verify the main functionality on various versions of Mac OSX and Windows. My Bug reports were submitted on Jira and included steps to reproduce the bug and sometimes screenshots or screen recordings as well as any other information I had on the issue. I attended daily stand up meetings to report what I have been working on the previous day and get an update on bug fixes from the developers.
