I was graduated from National Taiwan University (NTU) with my bachelor degree and Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University (RMIT) with my master degree. I majored Mathematics and worked for Academic Sinica as a research assistant after graduation from NTU. After around the 15-month research work experience, I realized that my strength is to use my math knowledges on computers. I hope this ability could help more people so I went to Australia to learn data science in RMIT to equip me more professional and practical skills.There are some projects I attended within my two-year study in Melbourne. For example, I worked for Infoxchange in a culturally diverse team. My role was to analyze one-year participants feedback data and provided appropriate recommendations to increase their customer engagement. Moreover, my postgraduate internship was to refine the calculator for Rexergy in order to manage big data in the future. The speed is accelerated by around 75 times with GPU when data size equals to 20,000. I also completed other minor projects related to price comparison, AWS, Hadoop, machine learning, or data visualization.Last but not least, I love to do volunteering. When I was a college student, I always did volunteering in summer and winter vacation as a group leader. After graduation from National Taiwan University, I did community services such as cleaning the park, tutoring the disadvantaged children and caring for the elderly.
