Mixed methods study exploring vaccine hesitancy among minorities in the UK and US. My role has involved the recruitment of participants, interviewing of and participant observation with minorities and medical professionals, transcription, and the writing and redrafting of research articles and reports. I tutor English language and literature, French, and economics to A-Level, and broadly in the humanities and social sciences. I have taught English as a foreign language at a variety of levels. I also offer translation, typically of academic work from French into English, proofreading and editing services, tutorials in essayistic writing and methodology, in research methods, et cetera.

These roles encompassed the organising and minuting of meetings, diary management, organisation and hosting of public, staff, and student events, the reception of VIPs and community management, and other related administrative and PA work. I taught Business English predominantly to clients of le Comptoir des Langues though through other agencies such as ExtraLangues as well, throughout Nord-Pas-de-Calais and the Belgian borderlands. Additionally, I taught my own clients a variety of levels of English and study skills, for instance in preparation for TOEFL, IELTS, or UK and US university entrance exams. I also tutored in economics and English literature, and hosted symposia in Lille for non-native speakers of English to practice speaking and listening in a literary and intellectually stimulating environment.I offered freelance translation, working predominantly with researchers in Lille to translate research for publication in English-language journals.

I was attached to the equal opportunities desk in a dual-role: responsible for applicants to anglophone programmes, helping in preparing them for the non-common entrance procedure (CEP), providing linguistic, administrative, and emotional support as appropriate, and admin/PA work for the chef de projet. In my time at the pôle égalité des chances I was also charged with the specific task of developing a report on all past alumni of the programme (CEP) and an accompanying database. I also played the role of host during the interview procedure itself, receiving VIPs, prospective students, and stakeholders from across the university and enveloping community.
