At Chembulk, I led CapEx strategic purchasing activities and sourcing for 23 chemical tankers, aiming to set an example for excellence in purchasing strategy, establishing and developing purchasing processes, focusing on enhanced business efficiency and corporate and regulatory compliance. I collaborated with Engineering, Operations, and Finance teams to drive consistency in purchasing operations and in-port spendand advised senior leadership on best practices for purchasing, including guidance for new ERP systems. Key among my achievements here were bidding out and saving $200K on bunkers and 15% on capex project for spares on ~$2M spend, and significantly decreasing cost and efficiency with a complete revamp of purchasing procedures

In this role, I provided high-level leadership for transformation of the organizational structure, with 4 new buyers in Houston and 20-25 across US and Latin America. I achieved a lot at Expro, mostly through sound one-to-one communication, including…· Saving $1.3M in 1st year, goal of $2.5M in year 2, by establishing re-bidding within the company· Bringing the entire North American purchasing into compliance with financial controls by reducing "after the fact" POs from 15% to less than 0.2%, achieved through direct 1-1 communication· Cutting orders by 75% with an expediting process and by training buyers in procedures· Reducing process from PR-PO from an average of 7 days to one day turnaround· Driving unprecedented field cooperation, communication and inclusion of supply chain operations· Reducing staff attrition to 0, despite low pay, through sound communication and motivation

At Ocean Rig, I headed multiple purchasing-related functions including process development, contract management, supplier relationships, and audit and managed purchasing activities for a team of 12 buyers - 6 corporate, 4 hub, and 2 remotely located - while driving collaboration and policies across the business. I oversaw order inquiries and tender evaluations, negotiated contracts and selected materials suppliers and also assisted with supplier audits and visited supplier facilities to perform assessments and performance reviews of business practices, operational quality and continuous improvement opportunities. Key achievements included reducing cost of MRO items by 16-68% with negotiation and set up of effective pricing agreements, leading the supply chain for a documented $20M spend and saving $4M pa with alternative sourcing

Leading a team of 8 Strategic Category Advisors and Contract Specialists in Houston, Dubai, and Brazil, I developed and implemented Global Supply Chain sourcing and contracting procedures, processes, and solutions and supported continuous improvement in commercial performance of supplier contracts. I negotiated supplier contracts for best commercial value, legal provisions and terms sufficiency and examined contractual obligations and work scope requirements and compliance with corporate policies prior to execution of supplier contracts. I reduced parts and services costs by ~62%, saving $500K in first 6 months via strategic resourcing and negotiated and completed 12 MSAsin first 2 months of employment
