This is a profession I wasn't expecting, but I'm thankful the opportunity came my way. I have worked in Dermatology since 1998. Over the years my job duties have changed as the practice has grown. I started out as file clerk and was able to move to insurance and eventually to insurance supervisor as the needs of the practice changed. As I was more involved with insurance I realized I wanted to know more and was able to take the Inga Ellzey Coding Course in 2001, then the AAPC's Certified Professional Coder course and was certified as a CPC in 2002, and took the course for the Certified Professional Medical Auditor and was certified as a CPMA in 2010. My goals are to continue learning and expand into another field of business. I am eager for a new adventure.
