In my current contracted role, I work closely with clients, SMEs, project managers, other IDs, and developers. Together, we handle the entire process of creating immersive and visually appealing eLearning experiences. To succeed in this role requires a combination of creative thinking, strong writing abilities, a solid foundation in instructional design, effective client relationship management, and, and often, the ability to lead a team on key portions of the project.

I oversee a team where my role involves managing the design process. This includes every step from brainstorming creative ideas to client delivery on a variety of projects. These range from consulting on client training programs to facilitating Instructor-Led Training courses, developing e-learning modules, designing custom websites, producing training videos, to creating entirely bespoke and interactive corporate training solutions.

As a contracted Instructional Designer and Developer at CoreAxis, I worked with subject matter experts on a wide range of topics to create impactful learning interventions for CoreAxis clients. I collaborated closely with a team of other talented staff to write storyboards and scripts, design training materials, and develop eLearning modules.

I provided design services to businesses small and large from my design studio in Vermont including designing and developing instructional course materials for multiple educational institutions.

I managed a staff of designers and was responsible for overseeing the design and production of 68 books per year as well as a broad range of corporate collateral including catalogs and a wide variety of promotional sales pieces. My position required exceptional organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks while meeting strict publishing deadlines.Additionally, I was in charge of the company web-site and directed its redesign from a static HTML site into a dynamic database driven e-commerce site. This project included overseeing the design of a back-end graphical user interface and web-based application platform capable of exporting all data in ONIX xml format for interfacing with on-line book vendors such as Amazon.com.

I taught graphic and web design courses design to students of varying skill levels. The courses included Introduction to Web Design, Introduction to Computer Graphic Design, Advertising Design, and Publication Design.
