Hello! I'm Cynthia, a young professional in the field of international relations and diplomacy. I have been deeply inspired by the interconnectedness of our world to pursue a career in this field. My passion for international relations, diplomacy, and identities stems from a desire to contribute to a more peaceful and equitable future. My ultimate goal is to work as a diplomat or policy analyst at a leading international organization, focusing on conflict resolution and sustainable development in Africa.During my undergraduate studies, I delved into key courses such as International Law, Global Governance, Conflict Resolution, and Development Studies. These courses equipped me with a strong theoretical foundation and practical skills to navigate complex international challenges. One of my most memorable research projects was an analysis of the various responses of African governments and International actors to the wagner group in Africa. This project allowed me to apply my research skills and develop a deeper understanding of the interlinkages between political factors and their influence over security in a country and region at large.Skills and Competencies. In addition to my strong ICT skills, I have also developed a proficiency in data analysis using tools like SPSS. This ability to extract insights from data has been invaluable in my research and can be employed in policy analysis work. Through my experiences in volunteer work and Model UN, I have honed my communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. I am confident in my ability to work effectively in diverse and multicultural environments. My experience as a volunteer at Pacemaker International also taught me the importance of grassroots initiatives and the power of community engagement in addressing social issues.During my internship at the Ministry of Trade, Investments, and Industries, I was involved in specific tasks or projects such as conducting market research, drafting policy briefs and taking part in various trade agreements negotiations. I gained valuable insights into the complexities of international trade and the role of government in promoting economic development.I am particularly interested in the growing phenomena of climate refugees and the intersection of gender, security, and development. I believe that addressing gender inequality is essential for achieving sustainable peace and progress.I am eager to leverage my skills and experience to contribute to meaningful work in the field of international relations.
