My main goals were to oversee the development of product from initial sketch to production for the Men's Performance Sportswear and Men's and Women's Sportshop Sportswear knits and wovens department. My daily tasks included creating spec packs, advising designers on adjusting styles to be cost effective, correct fitting of samples, communicating with venders, and partnering with Sourcing, Materials, Design, and other various departments to make sure styles were approved according to production calendar. Working with a high style count and various vendors strengthened my organizational skills as well as prioritizing according to deadlines.As one of the few associate level Product Developers asked to travel, I gained invaluable insight by visiting vendors in Hong Kong, China, and Taiwan and learned about production, construction techniques, and communication with different cultures.

Responsible for color consistancy throughout the Outerwear categories including outlets and kids. Learned fiber reactions to varying dye stuff for synthetic fabrics such as nylon and polyester, as well as natural fibers and blends. I perfected color results by communicating lab dip and bulk fabric comments to 15 + mills. Maintained tracking charts and ensured timely approval for production schedules.

Designed seasonal and stock sock designs and created tech packs for manufacturing.

I created tech packs, flat sketches, and designed trim embellishments on various garments.
