Cynthia Wright-Johnson is the EMS for Children Program Director at the Maryland Institute for Emergency Medical Services Systems. In her role, Mrs. Wright-Johnson serves as the Principal Investigator on the EMSC State Partnership Grant, overseeing the State’s work on the Federal EMSC Performance Measures, Family Advisory Network and data and QI activities. In addition to EMS for Children, I am the Coordinator and State Chair for Safe Kids Maryland and the Risk Watch subcommittee of the Maryland State Fireman’s Association. I am also involved in several national organizations which include the Emergency Nurses Association (IQSIP chair for Maryland), National Association of State EMS Officials Pediatric Care Council (Liaison for AAP COPEM and PEPP) , the Society of Trauma Nurses and the Society of Pediatric Nursing. She serves as a member of the Maryland Occupant Protection Taskforce/Highway Safety Partnership and the Partnership for Safer Maryland.
