Cindy Dooley is currently a Commissioner @ the South Carolina Workers’ Compensation Commission. Cindy is currently a Girl Scout Mountains to Midlands board member. She is a life long Girl Scout and feels that scouting teaches young ladies many things including equipping them to become leaders.Cindy is also a SCWCEA board member. This organization is committed to supporting the stockholders involved in Workers Compensation in SCCindy Dooley is a former member of the nationally recognized Workplace Law Group at Turner Padget, providing practical counsel to businesses across the state in the area of workers’ compensation law. She devoted most of her practice to workers’ compensation defense and mediation, Cindy regularly represented employers before the South Carolina Workers’ Compensation Commission. Prior to attending law school, Cindy worked as an adjuster for a large insurance company. Her unique background gave her practice an understandable advantage because she understood the issues that adjusters faced daily and the pressures that an employer experienced when involved in workers’ compensation litigation. Representing employers all over South Carolina, Cindy took great pride in bringing particularly difficult cases to a sound resolution for all parties. As a certified mediator, Cindy was successful in resolving 90% of all the cases that she has mediated. She appreciated the challenge of assisting her clients in avoiding the time, frustration and financial costs of litigation. Mediation often allows both parties to save thousands of dollars in litigation fees and gives them an opportunity to participate in the resolution process. Cindy took great pride in providing effective and efficient solutions for even the most complicated workers’ compensation claims.
