I have acted as lead lawyer/legal advisor on numerous high profile events in Scotland and the UK including advising: - GLENEAGLES HOTELS re the Official Book, contracts and IP matters for varous events including the 2014 RYDER CUP, the 2018 EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP and the 2019 SOLHEIM CUP ; - THE NATIONAL MUSEUMS OF SCOTLAND re various exhibitions including the PIXAR EXHIBITION, BONNIE PRINCE CHARLIE AND THE JACOBITES, MARY QUEEN OF SCOTTS, MONKEY BUSINESS and MING DYNASTY EXHIBITION;- THE NATIONAL LIBRARY OF SCOTLAND regarding the BAFTA nominated film, "FROM SCOTLAND WITH LOVE" (which premiered at the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games) and a FILM AGREEMENT with the BBC; - a WORLD RENOWNED LONDON HOTEL on its Development and Production Agreement for a TV DRAMA SERIES;- The HONOROURABLE COMPANY OF EDINBURGH GOLFERS re its Trade Mark Licences and other contracts for the BRITISH OPEN at Muirfield; - SECC re sponsorship agreements and commercial contracts for the HYDRO, Scotland’s national arena; - BALFOUR BEATTY WORKPLACE re conversion of the QUEEN ELIZABETH OLYMPIC PARK into an Events Venue; - FASHION ROCKS re its combined fashion and music events in London and Brazil; and - - The SRU re various sponsorship agreements, and hosting LIVE 8 SCOTLAND and the HEINEKEN CUP. I also led the legal negotiations on several innovative, strategic IT and outsourcing projects in Scotland including: - GLASGOW CITY COUNCIL'S ten year outsourcing deal with Serco plc; - the Framework Services Agreement between TESCO BANK and IBM; - the global Network Services Agreement between STANDARD LIFE and BT plc; - RBS’ global enterprise agreements with MICROSOFT; - a global bank on its £700m Services Agreement with IBM; - an international accounting firm on its global enterprise agreement with Microsoft; - Highlands and Islands Airports Ltd in connection with its tender and contract for its Voice Communication Control Systems (including air traffic control); and- UoE HPCX Ltd (a wholly owned subsidiary of University of Edinburgh) in connection with various agreements for one of the WORLD'S LARGEST SUPERCOMPUTERS.
