Helping UCI Applied Innovation get their Startup/EiR Program off the ground has been a wonderful experience. I have met and onboarded hundreds of amazing mentors (EiRs) and dozens of OC startups for the program and created an incredible database of individuals and some wonderful collaborative programs. The EiRs (Experts in Residence) come from all types of business backgrounds; from serial entrepreneurs to C-suite executives of Fortune 500 firms. It was fun to be able to lend a hand to a great group of people, although the hours needed to launch this program significantly exceeded the part-time commitment that I had originally agreed to.In addition to the Cove EiR program, I was also able to help facilitate a deal between UCI's CALIT2 and the IBM Watson Group.I am continuing to assist select startups as an EiR at UCI and Chapman University. Now... the focus goes back on my startup: Adaptifyed, Inc.
