I oversaw all day to day operations of the front desk and lead staff toward surpassing departmental goals such as obtaining and holding our ranking in the top five hotels by traveler rankings in the entire nation.

It was not long of managing the front desk team, that I was promoted to the role of Assistant General Manager. I assisted with training, coaching, and mentoring a staff of about 40 incredible people. We consistently achieved record breaking revenue objectives, and used advanced problem solving techniques to overcome some of the most unprecedented of times.

The COVID 19 pandemic outbreak inspired me to want to focus my attention solely on directly leading the staff at Rivertide Suites. The hotel averaged an occupancy of over 84% year round with market shattering REVPAR index scores. I directly oversaw a staff of about 9 employees.

Actively established and built new relationships with guests and clients. Solicited new group business, serviced all events and groups from start to finish, and other projects that assisted with driving the hotel's occupancy and maximized revenue. Even after transitioning into my role as Front Office Manager, I continued to provide support in this role.

I moved to the Oregon Coast for the opportunity to further advance my career work, where I worked at the 70 room all-suite condominium hotel Rivertide Suites. I supported the Assistant General Manager by actively setting a good example for the guest services team and ensured that we provided our guests with the highest level of service, from the time of making their reservation to the time of their check-out.

After only a few months of overseeing the sales efforts for our two Seaside properties, I was promoted to the title of Director of Sales. Responsible for all group and event contracting, broad market segment solicitation and prospecting, attending trade shows, developing and implementing sales strategies, and generating detailed reports for both properties.

I was promoted from Sales Manager at Rivertide Suites to the Area Sales Manager of both of our Seaside properties. I continued to oversee the sales of the Rivertide Suites condominium hotel with 70 luxurious guest rooms, and began managing the sales for the Best Western Plus Ocean View Resort with 107 rooms and over 4,300 square feet of conference space.

As the hotel’s business continued to grow and thrive, so did my eagerness to assist with the additional tasks at hand. I was quickly offered the position of Sales Administrator where I provided a wide variety of general office support.Some duties included: filtering all email and phone inquiries, generating key documents and production reports, processing and generating group and event contracts, invoicing clients and maintaining records among other key filing systems.

I began my career in the hospitality industry when I joined the first Guest Services team to represent Boulder Falls Inn. By anticipating guests needs, taking initiative, and having the empowerment to resolve conflicts I was able to provide our travelers with a superior level of customer service. During my time with Boulder Falls Inn, the Team and Property won many awards including but not limited to: Best Western's most prestigious M.K. Guertin Award 2 years in a row, Trip Advisor's Significant of Excellence 3 years in a row, Lebanon's Large Business of the Year, and many more.

The foundation of my hard work ethic, leadership skills, and passion to make a difference in my community developed primarily in Springbank’s fields, where I began working as a Blueberry Picker and quickly advanced into a leadership role. By ensuring our pickers safety, keeping their morale high and helping them work efficiently, I was able to lead and support an incredible team through the harvest and preservation processes of approximately 4 acres of Asparagus and over 20,000 Blueberry crops.
