CurrentProviding legal services on a project basis through various legal services firms on matters regarding complex product issues, privacy, technology transactions and other commercial contract matters. Clients have included Meta, Google, Electronic Arts, Niantic, Stripe, Github, Splunk, Symantec, Intel, Seagate, Cisco and Microsoft. Responsible for product counseling on a variety of technology products. Created, reviewed, and negotiated a wide variety of technology and commercial agreements, DPAs, terms of use, and privacy notices. Advised on global regulatory matters including privacy, data protection, security, antitrust, advertising, telecommunications, consumer protection, trust and online safety, as well as, intellectual property issues such as rights clearance and open source software. Lead counsel supporting product divisions, engineering, sales and supply chain teams, business development, procurement, marketing and leadership. Developed custom agreements, templates, playbooks, policies, guidelines and best practices.Examples of contract projects include: o Product Counsel for Connected Experience team including virtual reality, IOT embedded hardware products, cloud readiness, app store launches and early adopter programs. o Privacy Counsel providing legal support on GDPR compliance, privacy by design, privacy reviews, data breach incidents, regulatory compliance, and company-wide policy development. Reviewed and drafted privacy statements, disclosures and notices. o Product Counsel for an IOT Division suite of products and services used in various industry segments including retail, digital advertising, automotive and airline, energy, utilities, and wearables. Advised on several emerging IOT concepts, such as retail platforms for manufacturers and retailers; B2B IOT marketplace; and fitness wearable products.
