About Cindy Mccracken

I’m a deeply curious user experience researcher who’s passionate about discovering what people need and then collaborating with product and UX teams on solutions. In 2019 and 2020, I was a key player on three teams awarded the “One Team One Dream” award for product excellence. I presented at the 2020 RELX UX Summit with a colleague about running effective remote UX workshops with customers. I take pride in creating and trying new research methods and tweaking techniques to zero in on the information that’s needed for each situation. In addition to being a top researcher at LexisNexis, I am valued for my role as a UX team lead for the Primary Law portfolio, which includes six complex legal products. I mentor and schedule the work of three junior researchers, guiding them on research tools and techniques and helping them grow as professionals. I also enjoy finding creative ways to help time-strapped developers better understand our products’ audience – often through lunch and learns. Skills: Leading teams; researching using a wide range of tools and methods; presenting clear and actionable results; working with stakeholders throughout product lifecycle; and managing multiple projects with different deadlines and priorities. Research methods: Usability testing, interviews, surveys, card sorting, tree tests, contextual inquiry, workshops, focus groups, design sprints, journey mappingTools: Qualtrics, UserZoom, Tetra Insights, dscout, Miro, Mural, usertesting.com, Zoom, Teams, UsabilityHub, Optimal Workshop, Visio.
