After consulting with the company for five years, I now work part-time in the Collection Development department of OverDrive, the leading full-service digital distributor of eBooks, audiobooks, music and video worldwide. My charge is to do anything I can to contribute to the improvement of access and delivery of the content that is used in the more than 20,000 schools, colleges, and libraries worldwide who use OverDrive's services, and to mentor the team of 10 librarian analysts who create suggested lists for our customers to purchase.

Have over the years served on various committees in different divisions of ALA, including chairing the Public Library Association Collection Development Committee, serving on the PLA Readers Advisory Committee, and the Presidential Task Force on Equitable Access to Digital Content (EQUACC), as well as immediate past Chair of the Reference and User Services Readers' Advisory Research and Trends Committee.

Stepped in as Director of Technical Services to clean up a large backlog, streamline operations, and hire key staff members in order to provide an attractive position when advertised nationally.Succeeded in both goals, including reducing a backlog of over 2,000 boxes to zero in four months.

Implemented centralized selection of fiction in a library with 28 branches. Set up systems and office and prepared for and hired a permanent incumbent for the position. Circulation increased to nearly 18 million by the time I left.

Wrote Read-Alike columns.

Supervised department responsible for all selection for 28 branches in an urban public library. Worked as member of Technical Service Division team.Worked on team which introduced downloadable ebooks to the public library community. This service is now used in thousands of libraries across the world.

Led committee to prepare and present programs at the Public Library Association Conference.

Acted as director of the busiest library in the county. Participated in design of building.

Acted as assistant director and oversaw all public services plus collection development.
