Cynthia Tran Vo is an award winning graphic designer, illustrator and muralist driven by curiosity. As an illustrator, Cynthia’s work is characterized by her playful approach to colour and shapes. Using a geometric and vibrant styles, she draws upon motifs such as locations, nostalgia and tidbits from her everyday life. Similar to completing a puzzle, her work brings together shapes to form a harmonious and unique whole. Her creative process is rooted in experimentation, interpretation and discovery. She loves the challenge of reimagining and finding new ways to view shapes we’re familiar with, to bring a concept to life in her style. She has worked with multiple studios such as Card79, Monday Creative, Rethink, Cossette, Harc Creative, Vancouver Mural Festival, Parade Agency, PARK Productions and has worked for clients such as UBC, Translink, Shaw, Cafe Artigiano, Lougheed Centre and more.To date she has painted 11 murals in Vancouver.In additional to her work as a designer and artist, Cynthia serves as the co-publisher and creative director of SAD Mag, a non-profit independant Vancouver publication featuring stories, art, and design.
