Youmna is an entrepreneur, designer and artist based in Brooklyn. She was born and raised in Beirut, Lebanon. As a child, her uncle created a TV show for kids inspired by her imaginary friends. It aired daily for 25 years, and became the most watched kids show in the Middle East. She grew up acting and singing on the show from age 3, taking on more responsibilities like writing and producing with time. At 18, in 2009, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue studies in another curiosity of hers: the internet. She studied digital design at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. While in college she started a hashtag called #livelovebeirut that resulted in her co-founding a nonprofit called Live Love, which has grown to create massive impact since 2012. Live Love’s goal is to move citizens from social media to social action and to create hope in a world gone nuts, by talking about environmental or humanitarian problems with concrete solutions locals can take to help, all while making people fall in love with where they live. Live Love's built programs with the UN, the EU, the World Food Programme, Unilever, Adidas, L'Oréal, etc... Live Love has over 280 chapters in cities/villages around the world, including Beirut, Armenia, Jordan, Egypt, Italy, Spain and France. In 2017 she co-founded a digital agency in New York called TeTaTeT with Fabrice Nadjari, leading her to consult on digital storytelling and community building for clients such as LVHM, Google, and the French President. In 2014, for 6 months, she was Blockchain's first Creative/UI Designer.
