I co-founded Narcare, a student-led organization that is dedicated to community empowerment as a way to address the opioid crisis. I manage the day-to-day operations of Narcare's UW chapter. I lead the chapter's leadership team and ensure that we are effectively working on our goals. Our work is driven by the conviction that opioid overdose deaths are preventable, and any overdose death is a needless loss of life.Narcare UW's purpose is to spread awareness about the opioid crisis, so that the UW community is better equipped to protect themselves and others. We distribute naloxone (Narcan) for free and offer Narcan trainings to the UW community. We are actively working with the University of Washington to provide a regular and accessible supply of naloxone (Narcan) on campus. I coordinate with my team to organize events that bring in policymakers, scholars, researchers, activists, and many others, who share information about the work they are doing to address this epidemic. These events help tackle the misinformation and stigma associated with this epidemic. A better understanding of the epidemic enhances our ability to advocate for a safer and more healthy future.

In this role, I assist with administrative tasks to ensure that the UW Employee Health Center runs smoothly. I also provide clinic support by scheduling routine and specialty appointments and covering front desk tasks. I handle information request releases and maintain a stock of supplies, vaccine information sheets, lab slips, and forms. I complete any special projects/tasks assigned to me.

ZeroWaste.Org promotes social and economic practices that move beyond extraction and exploitation by helping people understand, design, and implement zero-waste and circular economy systems. They focus on building habits and systems that eliminate the need to produce items that will end up in landfills, be incinerated, or be dumped into our oceans and waterways.As part of their mission, they organize Zero Waste Weeks on college campuses to spread awareness of the importance of zero-waste lifestyles and provide students with the resources they need to reduce their waste impact. Once equipped with this, students are more likely to advocate for systemic changes.I led the planning and execution of the first Zero Waste Week at the University of Washington, which had over 180 participants. I coordinated with my team members to organize several promotional, educational, and social events throughout the week. I secured guest speakers for panels on reducing food waste and implementing the right to repair. I coordinated with various UW departments and external organizations to ensure that students had the resources they needed to minimize their waste impact. I engaged with my team to create long-term goals, so that we can build on this momentum for years to come.

During this internship, I developed a processing plan for an archival project. I created a physical and intellectual arrangement of historical material. I updated an inventory of historical material related to the labor history of Washington with a special focus on migrant farmworkers.

Akalka is an international youth-led non-profit organization that aims to promote financial literacy and independence among underprivileged girls, women, and refugees. With the help of our tutors, we have provided financial literacy to 800+ individuals internationally and have supported Ugandan refugees in launching their small businesses. Akalka has been recognised by the United Nations during the Generation Equality Forum Paris and has been a commitment maker for the action coalitions of 'economic justice and rights' and 'feminist movements and leadership'.As a member of Akalka's leadership team, I lead a team of content writers and graphic designers from various parts of the country. I designed infographics, wrote articles, and provided content for short videos on gender equality and finance. I participated in the UN Generation Equality Forum, Paris, and shared my views on the critical role financial independence has in achieving gender equality.
