My research focused on developing a PVD thin film protocol for enhancing the performance of piezoresistive MEMS vapor sensors. My contributions include:• Residual stress control of sputtered TiN thin films.• Micro-mechanical testing.• Vapor sensing tests.• Laser scanning profilometry, AFM, SEM, ellipsometry, and stylus profilometer.I also did mechanical analysis using finite element methods, focusing on:• Topology optimization.• Nonlinear mechanics, particularly in post-buckling behaviors and snap-through instability.• Wrinkle bifurcation.• Fluid-structure interactions.

During my master's at Sun Yat-sen University under the supervision of Prof. Huanjun Chen, I was concentrating on nanophotonic materials:• Synthesis of gold nanorods, nanodisks, and nanopyramids.• Development of SERS sensing substrate for near-infrared wavelengths.• Creation of a solar radiation collector prototype using PVA-gold nanocomposites.• Experienced in a range of characterization tools including Raman, FTIR, UV-vis, SEM, TEM, and AFM, among others.
