Mineral started as a project at X - The Moonshot Factory, an organization under Alphabet who’s goal is to “build and launch technologies that aim to improve the lives of millions, even billions, of people.”At Mineral, I get to work on a variety of perception based projects with the goal of revolutionizing agriculture. My favorite project has been working with Driscoll’s to develop a strawberry classification model. In this multifaceted role, I am able to train state of the art machine learning models and work directly with customers to build bespoke solutions.‣ Coordinated modeling efforts for a multi-stage QA defect classification model, enabling us to deliver an MVP 12 months ahead of schedule‣ Engaged in customer-facing roles to discuss project roadmaps, understand customer needs, and convey ideas and goals across teams‣ Delivered 34 plant phenotype traits extracted from in-field images using 15 custom perception and depth models to a crop- breeding business partner‣ Devised and carried out an inter-rater study which unlocked key insights for our partner, guided future design decisions for Mineral, and disproved untested assumptions held for multiple years‣ Collaborated in a multi-team effort to curate a 100k+ image dataset for model evaluation and few-shot learning research‣ Constructed a batch data processing Beam pipeline to materialize a 2 TB image dataset used to train our foundation models‣ Presented trait extraction and yield estimation results to business partner along with projections for future improvements and potential business opportunities in a SteerCo meeting

Anduril’s mission is to “transform defense capabilities with advanced technology” by combining modern machine learning models with cutting edge custom built hardware. In 2022, I interned at Anduril to design and develop an evaluation and regression framework for Anduril’s Tracking and Fusion module. At Andruil, I observed first hand how a rapidly growing startup manages a full stack suite of hardware and software products that were built from the ground up. ‣ Designed an evaluation and regression framework for Andruil’s Tracking and Fusion module‣ Integrated the testing framework as an automated GitHub check using CircleCI for continuous integration‣ Communicated with flight testing operators to collect and verify sensor fusion measurements‣ Aggregated multi-sensor data from multiple deployed assets to construct a diverse evaluation dataset‣ Contributed to Anduril’s custom Nix Packages for stable multi- platform deployment

IXI Technology and IXI Electronic Warfare develop products to counter modern drone based terrorism.In 2021, I interned at IXI Technology to research the feasibility of implementing a machine learning model to detect and classify drones based on emitted radio signals.
