During 15 years, I lived and travelled inthe Amazon jungle of the Putumayo state( Colombia . This experience was veryimportant, because I had the opportunityto reaalize that I was living in a incredibleand priceless paradise, which unfortunatelyis endangered for a vast number of humanactivities and also the inapropiate use of itsnatural resources.None of my landscapes truly exist, they arethe product of my imagination and creativity,some of them are my memories of thesemoments lived surrounded by tropical junglesand rainforests.PACHAMAMA (Mother land in the Quechuadialect)is the largest watercolour inthe World. Which was painted in justone piece of paper, its size is 12X1.50mts. This watercolour was made by theColombian artist César Bertel and it wasexhibited at te contemporary Art museum ofCartagena(Colombia) in 2008. This work ofart is a display of the Amazon landscape ofour country, which is a forgotten paradise ofour time, this is also a meeting point betweenthe humans and the nature. Where we canexperiment pure feelings of kindness andawareness towards our enviroment.She –Pachamama- is an invitation and aremainder to those who live in the urbanareas about how the importante of the junglehas been understimated and ignored. Despitethat its disapearance will be a risk for thesurvival of the human race.It is obvious that an art work of thismagnitude requires artistical courage inorder to manage such a complex technique.Therefore, he has challenged the concept ofmany traditional painters and academics.Finally, this master piece is the pride of hiscreador and also this is pure Colombianartistical talent.
