PLANIFICA has a department dedicated to mobility which provides integral consultancy on the issue. Within it, we work in the elaboration of Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans (SUMPs), trying to design the way people will move in our cities in a short future. We also work in the design of Safe Routes to School programs, with the target of creating safe and funny routes that promote kids autonomy in their daily journey to school. Finally, we also do traffic studies to analyse the roads capacity, mainly, in new developments. As consultant in the mobility area, my role encompasses the study of the pedestrian, cyclist and public transport networks and the ellaboration of proposals to improve their use. I am also in charge of the analysis of the environmental impacts that the proposals may occasionate.In terms of acoustics, I also ellaborate traffic noise models for roads and cities using CadnaA.

- Engineering of acoustic products as acoustic screens, enclosures, anti-vibration mounts, etc. to meet project and installation requirements. - Day to day project management and liaison with client’s professional team. - Collecting comprehensive site information and recording all details which includes reviewing product applications, building constraints and architect aspects. Methodology for installation works to determine best solutions and record findings on CAD drawings.- Producing the engineering reports calculations and formulating all necessary drawings.- Formulation of reports, recommendations and all technical appraisals.

Laboratorio Sebastián Carpi has the ENAC accreditation in acoustic testing and electrical inspection (ENAC is the Spanish National Accreditation Entity, equivalent to the UKAS in the United Kingdom and to the DAkkS in Germany).As Technical Director of the Acoustic Department, I am in charge of its integral management, which includes the next responsibilities:- To ensure that all the tests and audits are made respecting the Quality System implanted in the Laboratory, written according to ISO 17025 “General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories”. - To participate actively in the continuous improvement of the Quality System.- To assume the technical direction in the acoustic sampling and testing, and to evaluate properly the testing results.- To inform the clients about the testing results and to give them advice in case of “Non Conformity”. - To investigate new techniques and methods to improve the acoustic testing.

From November 2012 to January 2014 I participated as an IDAE official instructor in some courses about the Certification of the Energy Performance of Buildings in Spain. Those courses were addressed to any engineer or architect interested.

Before the ENAC accreditation: In this period, I have collaborated in the accreditation of Laboratorio Sebastián Carpi as an Acoustic Testing Laboratory. To achieve it, we had to follow the instructions of ISO-IEC 17025 “General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories” writing the General Procedures and Technical Instructions, developing an uncertainty calculus method, etc. Finally, we got the accreditation in environmental noise measurement and in building acoustics measurment on July 2011.After the ENAC accreditation: From July 2011 on, we started to work as an accredited laboratory, doing environmental noise measurement and building acoustics measurment when required.
