Dodd joined the Morehouse staff in November 2016. She is an award-winning journalist with more than 30 years of experience as a newspaper reporter and a communications manager for K-12 schools and higher education institutions. Dodd has worked for several metropolitan daily newspapers, including spending a decade at The Miami Herald and 11 years at The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. She has won awards for investigative reporting and featuring writing. She also has appeared on MSNBC, National Public Radio, and CNN’s Headline News. Dodd has a master’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University. She brings her journalism background to her work in public relations and crisis communications. Her clients have included K-12 schools, businesses, entertainers, and authors. At Morehouse, Dodd works to attract media coverage of the College, provides executive communications support, crafts campus communications, secures advertising, assists with video marketing, and manages the publication of Morehouse Magazine and other products. She also was a member of the Presidential Transition Team.
