Wellcome! here is something about me:I’m currently working at CellDynamcs, where I started as a senior R&D scientist in 2019, helping to conceive and develop novel flow-based technologies in order to provide the best solutions for 3D biology applications. We created the W8 PHYSICAL Cytometer, the first automated instrument dedicated to the BioPhysical characterization of 3D cell cultures. Since the launch of the W8, I've diverged my focus on the connection with researchers and scientific teams worldwide to increase awareness on the potential of such technology.My previous and multidisciplinary experience consisted of 10+ years of research on several chemistry- and bioengineering-related fields.This included an M.Sc. in “Chemistry” (Biomolecular oriented), a Second Level Master Degree in “Molecular Modelling and Drug Design in Oncology”, and a Ph.D in Bioengineering/Chemistry at the University of Southampton (UK) on the manufacturing of cost-effective flow-reactors for the size-and shape-controlled large-scale production of nanoparticles.I collaborated with several research groups and companies, such as the Interuniversity Consortium on Materials Science and Technology (INSTM), Molecular Discovery Ltd., MiNaTher (micro and nano therapies), and a 3-year collaboration, during mu PhD period in UK, with the UK Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl).Such journey allowed me to produce 30+ peer-reviewed publications and is giving me the chance to attend several conferences and scientific events worldwide, where I’m always learning new perspectives from brilliant mentors and scientists. Aside from the research, I love photography and music, but most of all I love surfing. This passion allowed me to become a certified ISA Level 1 and FIWS Surfing Instructor, as well as the co-founder of Surfschool Catania, where I love teaching during my free time.My ORCID for more: 0000-0002-8279-1496
