Denia is an experienced, dedicated, and results-oriented Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) professional. Her journey in Information Technology (IT) and Cybersecurity began over seven years ago after graduating from The Ohio State University. She is actively involved in developing, implementing, and managing IT risk and compliance programs to mitigate risks and ensure the integrity and security of her company's IT systems and data. Denia takes responsibility for ensuring that organizations adhere to relevant IT regulatory compliance standards, such as the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX), SOC2, ISO27001/2, FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, and more. She is also well-versed in data privacy laws like GDPR, CCPA, PIPEDA, and more. Over the years, Denia has been a safeguard for her company's IT infrastructure by conducting IT and compliance audits, developing IT and cybersecurity policies, performing IT securityand privacy risk assessments, developing risk mitigation plans, testing IT controls, and conducting user access reviews to enhance organizational technology and security postures.Her overarching goal is to continue expanding her knowledge and expertise in GRC and data privacy. She enjoys focused reading and research to stay updated on the evolving regulatory landscape.
