For a little over 6 years, I ran track and field: long jump, high jump, hurdles - the whole nine yards.With the help of my coach and my lucky Nike spikes, I earned a spot on the varsity team within a year. Year after year, despite the knee scrapes, growing competition, and damp Seattle days, I adapted, I strategized - full speed ahead. After graduating college and moving to San Francisco, what I’ve realized is this:No matter who you are, where you’re from, what sport you chose to (or not to) play, there will be obstacles in your path.On a weekly basis, my coach would tell me “all good hurdlers fall, but it’s the great ones that get back up”. I’ve taken that quote, ran with it, and applied it to my every day.
