I've been a creative person for as long as I can remember, and I've brought that to every job I've had. I started working as a sales associate for Go! Games in 2015, and quickly became the employee with top sales and phone calls praising my work ethic to my employer. I learned as much as I could about the company and the products we sold, and used my knowledge of human behavior and general people skills to satisfy any customer's needs. In 2018, that employer decided to open a coffee shop in the same mall that Go! Games was in, and asked me personally if I would manage it. I jumped at the opportunity to learn new skills in a completely different work environment, and improvised a "lead by example" role that earned the respect of my employees, making them care about their performance and ultimately improving customer reviews. After being open for two years, Covid-19 struck and we couldn't keep up with repeated closures and reopenings; we made our last coffees in April 2020. After that, I took a year off to focus on my studies in Psychology and Spanish, and even visited Guatemala to improve my conversational skills. Since November 2021, I've been working as a sales associate at LensCrafters, and encounter several customers a week that choose to come in specifically to work with me. I use skills of patience, observation, and reading people to understand what each customer wants so I can best help them and leave them feeling taken care of. No matter my role in a company, I strive to understand company goals and educate customers to benefit both sides of each transaction. I'm a relentless learner that loves nothing more than a good challenge, and I bring a sunny disposition to any work environment.
