He also built the infrastructure to support the training and prediction pipeline for our graph recommendation algorithm which now allows us to iterate on improvements very quickly. This pipeline also supporting A/B testing so that the ML team can run experiments independently from the product teams that consume the recommendations. David also delivered the infrastructure required to support our LLM product. The LLM space is still very new (GPT-3 was released about 18 months ago), but David was easily able to gather requirements from stakeholders and PMs, translate the requirements to a system design, and delivered the infrastructure well ahead of schedule. These are a few a David's larger accomplishments, but he had broad impact across the org including supporting data engineering and the BI team, introducing retrospectives to the ML org, and regularly mentoring team members.
