Evan is Viridi's Chief Sustainability Officer. In 2024 he was named one of the Top 15 Social Media Influencers of the Built Environment by Technica Magazine, and in 2022 he was named one of the World’s 50 Most Influential Executives in Field of ESG by Constellation Research and the 500 Global Sustainability Thought Leaders by the American Energy Society. He is a graduate of Yale Law School, and is both a former partner at the law firm Sidley & Austin and Assistant Commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection. From 2004 until 2023 Evan was Corporate Vice President and then Chief Sustainability Officer at Honeywell, where he led the Company's more than 90% reduction in greenhouse gases and approval of a Science-Based Targets Initiative carbon reduction target. He is on the Board of The Another Center Foundation and was previously on the boards of the Housatonic Valley Association and National Technology and Engineering Solutions of Sandia, LLC., which manages the Sandia National Laboratory He has taught International Environmental Law at Columbia Law School and lectured at the United Nations ITR, and was a credentialed observer at UN FCCC COP 23, COP 24 and COP 28. He has authored numerous articles on environmental topics and is the co-author of International Environmental Law: A Case Study Analysis (Routledge 2019).
