The mission of NOAACF is to engage and educate the African American community on cystic fibrosis (CF), raising awareness to bring essential resources, knowledge, and empowerment to CF patients, their families, healthcare professionals, and the broader community.

I provided key assessments of California’s political climate and policy implications, aiding in the development and execution of communication plans. I prioritized creating engaging social media content across various platforms, resulting in positive audience responses. Additionally, I crafted issue-driven op-eds and blog posts, translating complex policy details into understandable language and identifying opportunities for engagement aligned with our Caucus goals.

Spearheaded the development of strategic messages for the Senate Republican Caucus, significantly improving collaboration with state agencies, community groups, and emerging Republican constituencies. Enabled Republican senators to engage more effectively with California’s diverse populations on pressing policy and economic issues, while providing essential advice on strategic outreach and messaging.

Oversaw the Senator’s legislative priorities as her director, securing legislative victories and fulfilling key policy goals. Advised on critical areas such as education, school construction, state budget, tribal issues, and gaming, while strategizing legislative tactics and strengthening relationships with stakeholders.

Serving as Communications Director and Press Secretary, I oversaw all aspects of the Senator’s communication programs, from message development and strategic positioning to branding and speechwriting. I managed the Senator’s online and social media strategies, created PSA content, and led district outreach and public affairs efforts. My role also involved coordinating with the Senate Republican Caucus on media strategies, drafting key opinions, and fostering relationships with media, industry partners, and community stakeholders

Governor Appointee to the California Infrastructure Bank between 2006-2013. During that time we provided countless funding to local government and non-profit groups to fund infrastructure projects that brought economic revitalization to numerous community across the state.

With a dual focus as both Legislative Director and Communications Director, I effectively combined policy expertise with strategic communication. I not only led the organization’s legislative advocacy efforts, but also crafted and delivered compelling narratives to engage and inform key stakeholders, driving the organization’s mission forward across multiple platforms.

As the primary lead for the California Senate Republican Caucus, I was responsible for developing and managing community and economic development programs, alongside creating targeted media and messaging strategies. My efforts culminated in the organization of statewide Community Renewal Summits and conferences, which united legislators, community leaders, and practitioners to address pressing issues and empower attendees with actionable tools for change.

As the driving force behind the Community Renewal Project, I served as Founder and Executive Director, where I led the organization’s collaboration with California state legislators to organize impactful statewide and regional events. My role involved comprehensive management of executive and financial operations, fundraising coordination, partnership recruitment, and oversight of marketing and event execution.

In my capacity as Legislative Director, I was responsible for overseeing the Senator’s legislative initiatives while offering strategic guidance on education, tax policy, and economic development. My work involved not only shaping a dynamic legislative agenda but also organizing community development projects and building strong relationships with key constituencies across the state.
