His Excellency Eng. Dawood Abdulrahman Al Hajri leads the Dubai Municipality as the Director General and oversees six sectors comprising of 34 departments including Infrastructure, Environment and Health & Safety. He is a member of the Executive Council and Strategic Affairs Council of Dubai.With a degree in Urban Planning, he has played a key role in shaping Dubai’s infrastructure. As the Head of the Executive Planning Section and then the Assistant Director General of Dubai Municipality for the Engineering and Planning Sector, his vast experience has had a positive impact nationally and internationally.Al Hajri has represented the City of Dubai and Dubai Municipality in several conferences and seminars and has extensive experience in the field of planning, investment and urban development. The most important of which is presiding the Emirates Global Center for Accreditation, former president of Society of Engineers and the Higher Committee for the Urban Plan of Dubai 2020 as well as other international associations. In addition to his vast professional experience, Al Hajri is the President of the UAE Table Tennis Federation and a member of the Board of Directors of the UAE National Olympic Committee.
