• Worked as team lead and senior software engineer on re-platform of APTs reservation solution, replacing a huge legacy ASP travel booking solution, used by hundreds of reservation staff daily. This included:- Interviewing and building the development team- Active participant in the solution design in conjunction with product owner, UI/UX specialist and project manager- Build of an abstraction layer in SQL to normalize data into updated domain models- Build of difficult parts of the API including tour pricing, product search and travel party creation- Stepped in to help resolved Angular implementation issues- Implemented CDC listener to monitor for data changes to trigger platform events- Project was successful, Chairman of the APT Group board attending the launch event• Designed and implemented a product cost reconciliation solution that analyzed hundreds of contract, tour product and costing spreadsheets against the product/pricing database to find and report discrepancies. This included:- A user front-end built in Angular giving users the ability to build reconciliation groups and run as needed. This included presentation of reconciliation results in an easy-to-use matrix- Microsoft SSIS engine to extract and reconcile data from spreadsheets and product database- Solution received applause at launch event• Took-over the running of an upgrade to APTs mobile application after the Business Analyst responsible for it left mid-project. This project was to add surveys to the app, survey setup and management via Salesforce. This included:- Finalizing the design of the surveys. There were some issues in the existing models- Acting a lead for developers to pull surveys and send to the mobile application- Built a tool for survey administrators to build surveys in excel and upload to Salesforce. Made it far easier to configure surveys- Completed reporting of survey data, for both the Operations and Marketing departments
