In short, I've worked as a Healthy Food For All Summer Associate for the Joliet Salvation Army during the summer of 2024 and volunteered to be a Summer Prize assistant at Joliet Public Library during the summer of 2023 (more information below).

  • Created online presentations relating to nutrition and different aspects of health that were shown to kids ages 5-14 and adults.• Helped plan fun and healthy snacks for the kids to have during health lessons. • Helped with the preparation and setup of the food pantry drive up that was every Monday.• Receptionist duties (usually once or twice a week) including answering the phone, redirecting them to other personnel in the building, assisting people who come into the building, and registering people who are new to the food pantry list. • Created a pamphlet for the Healthy Food For All Project to inform families about our program and what we do, along with a few tips for eating healthier, meal prepping, exercising and eating healthy with a busy schedule, and budgeting.
