A proud family owned and operated funeral home, the Ford Family has been serving the Hunterdon County community since 1958. In 2015, a transition plan of the business was enacted. Daniel James "D.J." Wright, a thirteen year Flemington area Funeral Director and his family, took over the ownership and daily operations of the firm. Please know that you will be served by us directly at all times. We feel continuity from the moment we are notified is extremely important. We also are willing to come to your home or another place of comfort to make whatever arrangements you feel are appropriate. This includes pre-need as well as at-need care.An extensive renovation to both the interior and exterior of the building has begun with the transition in the beginning of February. Know that we will be FULLY OPERATIONAL during this time period as the renovations and construction are being done in several phases as we continue to serve our families with the utmost dignity and respect. Daniel James (D.J.) Wright has been a Licensed Funeral Director since Fall of 2002. He is a 2001 Cum Laude graduate of Drew University in Madison, NJ where he majored in Psychology and minored in Philosophy and French. He entered the American Academy McAllister Institute of Funeral Service in New York City in the Fall of 2001, receiving scholarships from the Bergen County Funeral Director's Association as well as the New Jersey State Funeral Director's Association. He graduated fall of 2002, Summa Cum Laude, receiving the Faculty Award for exceptional proficiency in all academic and clinical areas of the curriculum as well as being elected into Mu Sigma Alpha, the funeral service education national honor society. Passing the required Federal and State written and practical examinations, Mr. Wright received his Funeral Director's license, #4537, in September 2002.Mr. Wright is a member of the New Jersey State Funeral Director's Association, currently serving a third, two year term as a Delegate-At-Large, representing Funeral Director's throughout the entire State of New Jersey and also represents New Jersey at the national level as a delegate to the National Funeral Director’s Association. He has served on the Legislative & Law Committee and the Audit Committee of the NJSFDA and was formerly a representative on the Electronic Death Registration Committee, bringing death certificates online to the state whose format has served as a model around the country for online death registration. He is also a two-term Past President of the Tri-County Funeral Director's Association, comprising Hunterdon, Warren and Sussex Counties.

Proudly serving as NJSFDA President for 2018-2019 after having served the organization in various capacities since 2002 after becoming licensed as a funeral director in the State of New Jersey.
