A proud Licensed Funeral Director who believes his work is a calling rather than "a job", D.J. is currently serving as President of the New Jersey State Funeral Directors Association, having served in many capacities with the organization over the past ten plus years.He formerly served a three year appointment (two terms) to the College Alumni Association of Drew University and sits on its Undergraduate Relations Committee. He is a member and Past-President of the Flemington Rotary Club, and a former member and past Lieutenant of the Madison Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Madison, NJ. He is currently a member of the Flemington-Raritan First Aid and Rescue Squad, serving four terms as its Vice-President, and formerly serving as its Chaplain and Captain-Public Information Officer. Additionally, he served as the Chaplain of Rotary International District #7510 (comprising central NJ clubs), the Lunch Treasurer of the Rotary Club of Flemington, and was formerly the Interact Liaison to Hunterdon Central Regional High School. A Founding Member of the "Young Professionals of Hunterdon County," Mr. Wright was honored to be the 2011 recipient of the Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce Brian S. Grare Young Professional of the Year Award. He is a member of the board of directors of Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce Foundation and the Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce, serving as Treasurer of both organizations, and was an original member of Flemington Business Improvement District Steering Committee, and served on the FBID Board of Directors heading the Human Resources and Ethics Committee's.Mr. Wright serves on the board of directors of Volunteer Guardianship One-on-One, Inc., which provides high quality personal one to one guardianship services for people without family or friends to help them. He recently just finished a three-year term as President.He, his chocolate Labrador retriever, Tammy, and Portuguese Water Dog, Nalani, reside in Raritan Township, NJ.
