Participated as Training Internship Supervisor for pre-doctoral and doctoral level students in the LHS/CLS Internship in Professional Adolescent & Forensic Psychology (APA/APPIC accredited) from 2010 until present. Rotations included substance use/abuse (SUD), Reception/Crisis, Sex Offender Treatment and Evaluation, and Copper Lake School rotations. Participated as the Internship Program Director for approximately a year around November 2015 through November 2016. Co-led the LHS/CLS Internship Class for the full internship year from September 2014 through August 2015. For part of this year, was one of only two licensed supervising psychologists on site for four interns. Duties included revising the basic internship program in accordance with past intern and site visitor suggestions, modification of the Internship Description Guide, the Intern Guide, individual and group supervision, training, didactic training, the paperwork and computer registration and other work required for an internship, an APA site visit where modifications where made according to site visitors suggestions, and acquisition of further APA accreditation until 2018. Kept and processed data and other information for the site visit. Other duties included weekly individual and group supervision, didactic trainings, and consulted and liaised with institution staff regarding the psychology interns and the internship.

Licensed Psychologist who has provided therapy, assessment, consultation, crisis intervention, and training as part of a multidisciplinary team in an intensive treatment/mental health program (ITP), a cognitive processing/errors in thinking program, the Juvenile Cognitive Intervention Program (JCIP), a cadet achievement program (CAP), a Personal Responsibility and Integrity in your Daily Environment program (PRIDE), substance use/abuse programs (AODA/SUD), Reception Program, Independent Living Program (ILP) for youth 17 years and older, and other treatment programs at a facility for incarcerated male and female youth, ages 11-24. Also, treatment supervisor and co-led the pre-doctoral professional internship in forensics and adolescents.

Provided state required clinical supervision and consultation to master level social workers, counselors, and nurses providing individual and group therapy. Conducted evaluations and provided individual therapy for children, adolescents, and adults at a private outpatient clinic.

Child Psychiatry Unit, Preschooler's Project: A National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) funded research study. Conducted over 200 clinical assessments for research purposes with children (ages 2-10) and their mothers that included administering the intelligence scales of the McCarthy Scales of Children’s Abilities and the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children-3rd Edition (WISC-III). The project also included several other assessment instruments. In addition, performing clinical interviews with the children and their mothers; collecting, scoring and inputting data; coding videotaped parent-child interactions; providing feedback to parents of child’s mental and emotional development; collaborating with the research team on the project’s findings; interpreting and writing findings for publication; administration tasks involved with the project.

Provided psychotherapy and medical consultation to a child population from underserved and working class populations that present with a variety of psychopathology such as ADHD, enuresis, anxiety, depression, academic and medical problems; conducted, interpreted, and wrote psychological assessments; received individual and group supervision; participated in family therapy seminar, disruptive children’s group, high-risk neonatal clinic, and oncology clinic; trained in psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral approaches; maintained patient charts.

Provided psychotherapy to an underserved, adult and geriatric, underserved, mainly Hispanic population in a community mental health center with a variety of psychological difficulties such as depression, phobias, psychoses, PTSD, addictions, and interpersonal difficulties; conducted and wrote psychological assessments; received individual and group supervision; trained in psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral therapy; participated in case staff meetings; maintained client reports.
