Key Responsibilities:-To implement objectives to ensure the organization’s overall effectiveness.1. Documentation management System & procedure:–  Develop, implement and maintain a documentation management system & procedure (drawing/ documents receiving, issuing Tracking & archiving System) at KMPCL site for all Engineering Documentation in order to provide ready to access services.2. Drawing / Document Tracking System:-  Preparing of Master list/tracker format and updating the tracker as and when change occurs.  To ensure that the latest revision and approval status of drawings is being kept updated continuously.  Intimation of new/ revised drawing / documents to user dept. immediately & providing advance copy to the concerned department as per the requirement once the soft copy is received through tBits (EDMS).3. Drawing / documents distribution system:-  Distribution of new & revised Physical drawings/ documents to user department within 24 hrs from the receipt of Drawings/documents.  To receive drawings/ documents from EPC contractor/vender & acknowledge the same after having scrutinized the check list/Trackers & drawings. If any discrepancies found, to suggest EPC contractor to take necessary action.  To register the details of received drawing in the master list.  To issue the drawings to the concerned departments by maintaining control outward register. 4. Archiving (Drawings Storage System):-  Categorization of the drawings based on unit, sub-unit, discipline wise etc.  To keep the drawings safely at storage location. To withdraw the superseded copy from the departments. and take out the same by stamping as superseded.5. Coordination with Project Team and EPC Contractor for the submission/Approval of drawings/ documents as per the project contract requirements.6. Drafting of Drawing to obtained various approvals of Govt. authorities in time:-7. Reprographics services:

Jindal Stainless Ltd., (JSL) is one of leading Ferro Alloys, power, and steel producer. The Archives and Knowledge Center of JSL, is a part of the Technical Services Branch that maintains a track record of Drawings, Documents, Technical Specification and reports, received from various departments, vender and suppliers. The department offers centralized technical services to the company personnel.

Jayaswals NECO Ltd., is an integrated steel plant, mainly involved in the steel production. The company’s Archives section works in-coordination with engineering services department. Drawings, Technical & Non-Technical Documents are controlled by Archives section.
