London St. Pancras International I gathered footfall data based on a building entry and exit sensors that picked up people’s movements from a system called Grafana Openspace and the created a report that included insights: - Peak hours with breakdowns of categories like location, train operator and day of the week- Standard deviations of footfall for the building, broken down by each scanner/entry point enabling the company to predict footfall for an hour, day or week.- How retail units performed within the station using metrics of: sales/footfall, transaction/footfall, sales/square foot of retail unit-Used Microsoft PowerBI to present and organize the data into an efficient and easy to read dashboard with multiple views for different departments in the company, Concluded Insights which I presented to the Commercial Director at the quarterly commercial team meeting:- Introduced the commercial team to the Openspace program, data collection method and technical aspect of the camera. Settled the teams warranted concerns with the accuracy of the data collection by proving its reliability. I used a closed off one entrance/exit section of the building the cameras were assigned and used statistics to prove a 0.3% error rate with its sensor/data collection.- Highlighted that different days had different peak hours for each platform entry. Recommended that the station staff be notified of this so that they could allocate manpower efficiently.- Collated all of the data to show that I could predict that HS1 was achieving their pre-covid levels of footfall (the commercial teams current objective)
