As Strategic Health Care’s Director of Government Affairs, I assist clients in our Columbus office with legislative and regulatory advocacy before the Ohio General Assembly and various state departments

I directed all aspects of the Office of Government Affairs, developing and advancing the Department’s legislative agenda; worked with the Director of Health and the agency’s senior management group setting and implementing priorities for the Ohio Department of Health; coordinated federal legislative strategy with the Governor’s Washington, D.C. office, national associations and Ohio’s Congressional delegation

In this role, I assisted with policy development and the Governor’s human services initiatives; aided senior staff in the Departments of Health, Job & Family Services, Aging, Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services, Mental Health and MR/DD; and implemented administrative functions of the policy section

Working for a Cleveland-area legislator, I coordinated the development and introduction of legislation, including public health, insurance and human services initiatives; staffed the Senate Health, Human Services and Aging committee, organizing legislation assigned to the Committee and assisting members with committee functions;
